Labour Doula Care

I have been supporting families since August 31st 2008 and am loving every minute of it!  There is nothing more rewarding for me than to see a mother and child fall in love!

The Labour Doula fee is a sliding scale of $400-$600.  Pay what you can manage or what you think my services are worth to you.

This package includes:
  • 3 prenatal meetings lasting up to 2 hours each (up to 6 hours total prenatally, may be divided as you wish).  This does not include the initial interview for which there is no charge or obligation.  -Any additional visits would be charged by an hourly rate of $18

  • Unlimited phone calls and emails for support. Or just to chat and get to know each other better!

  • Access to my carefully selected lending library of books, magazines, CD`s, DVDs and equipment.

  • A binder full of information and resources which will be tailored specifically to you.

  • My presence at the birth of your baby until 1-2 hours after the baby is born.

  • 2 hours of postpartum care within the first 4 weeks after birth.

  • After your baby is born you are welcome to phone and email support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week until 6 months postpartum.

  • A free belly rub, postpartum herbal bath, and baby safe ink pad (your colour choice) (an $18 value)

  • A back up doula for the very unlikely event that I cannot attend your birth.

  • An invite to the First Breath Families Yahoo Group where you will find a ton of information, local resources, and if you want, other families to connect with.

  • Invites to special events put on by First Breath such as movie and information nights.

  • All clients who wish for multiple services are given discounts.

I am due to have baby #3 January 14th 2011.  September EDD's (estimated due dates) are as late as I am accepting.  I will return to doing labour doula work no later than January 2012.  I would be happy to make referrals for you.
